Responsibilities

Manages engineering, technical, and administrative functions for highway and bridge projects across all phases.
Directs survey crews, inspection teams, and office staff; oversees layout, sampling, testing, and hiring.
Applies knowledge of project requirements to ensure accurate inspections and surveys by qualified personnel.
Implements objectives in the SCDOT Business Plan and monitors budget to reduce costs.
Maintains records, submits reports, and ensures final construction plans are complete and timely.
Coordinates with the District Utility Coordinator on utility relocations within assigned areas.
Communicates with stakeholders, officials, contractors, and industry representatives on project matters.
Participates in public hearings, conferences, and meetings as required.
