Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks a Supervising Engineer to oversee the detailed design of high voltage substation projects. You will lead engineers, designers and support staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering with 7+ years in the electric utility industry or EPC firms and a P.E. license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• P.E. license is required.
• 7+ years in electric utility industry or EPC firms for HV substations.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and standards (ANSI/IEEE/NESC).

Responsibilities

• Review vendor documentation and coordinate with internal Sourcing Team.
• Lead technical design reviews with design teams and report risks to management.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers on technical interfaces.
• Plan and perform design reviews and report deviations with corrective actions.
• Answer technical site questions and review non-conformance reports.
• Attend FAT for major electrical equipment as needed.
• Other duties as required.
