Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a CAD engineering lead to drive high-frequency PCB design for rugged, secure electronic packaging solutions. You will coordinate with Systems Engineering, ME, SW and purchasing, owning the PCB design process from concept to release.

You'll design and model PCBs and backplanes up to 25 Gb/s, mentor a distributed team, and champion design-for-manufacturing and automation for Allegro workflows.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of PCB design experience with Cadence/Allegro.
  • Experience with IPC standards for PCB design.
  • Experience routing high-speed interfaces and high-frequency RF.
  • Experience creating automation for Allegro CAD processes.
  • DFM experience.
  • Experience with ECAD libraries and electronic data management.

Responsibilities

  • Design and model high frequency PCBs, backplanes, cables and flex circuits up to 25Gb/s for rugged applications.
  • Work with multi-location engineering teams across the United States.
  • Participate in engineering reviews: PCB layout, routing, and final reviews.
  • PCB design and layout using Cadence/Allegro.
  • Keep up to date on Allegro advancements.
  • Incorporate feedback on designs.
  • Drive change and process improvements.
  • Document and implement CAD layout rules.
  • Support technology roadmaps and DOE for improvement and innovation.
  • Provide technical support to PWB fabrication vendors.
  • Spearhead the ongoing effort to assist in the installation, upgrade and improvements to the software tools utilized for creating and reviewing PWB design files.
