Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking an experienced CAD Lead within its CAD Engineering team to design high-frequency PCBs, backplanes and flex circuits for rugged applications. You will work with Systems Engineering, SI, ME, SW and purchasing to own the PCB design process from concept through release.

The role requires 7+ years of PCB design using Cadence/Allegro, IPC standards, and experience with Valor and CAM350. Hybrid work across multiple U.S. locations is offered.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 7+ years of Printed Circuit Board design using Cadence/Allegro.
• Experience with IPC industry standards for PCB design.
• Experience with Valor, CAM350.
• Experience in design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Experience routing high speed interfaces and high frequency RF.
• Experience creating automation for Allegro and other CAD processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and model high frequency PCBs, backplanes, cables and flex circuits up to 25Gb/s for rugged applications.
• Collaborate with geographically dispersed engineering teams across the US.
• Participate in engineering reviews including PCB placement and routing.
• PCB design and layout using Cadence/Allegro; stay current with Allegro advancements.
• Drive process improvements and document CAD layout rules.
• Support PWB fabrication vendors with design file integrity.
• Assist in installing and upgrading CAD tools and workflows.
