Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a CAD lead/assistance for the CAD Engineering team to design and model high-frequency PCBs, backplanes, cables and flex circuits up to 25Gb/s for rugged environments. You will interact with Systems Engineering, SI, ME, SW and purchasing, owning the entire PCB design process.

The role requires strong Cadence Allegro skills, a background in DFM, and experience leading CAD programs and third-party CAD vendors.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires 7+ years of Printed Circuit Board design using Cadence/Allegro tool.
  • Experience with IPC industry standards for PCB design.
  • Experience with PCB stackups and materials.
  • Experience with ECAD libraries and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Design and model high frequency PCBs, backplanes, cables and flex circuits up to 25Gb/s for rugged applications.
  • Work with multiple locations across the U.S. with a diverse engineering group.
  • Participate in engineering reviews including PCB placement, routing and final reviews.
  • PCB design and layout using Cadence/Allegro tool.
  • Document and implement CAD layout rules and constraints.
  • Support technology roadmaps and DOE for continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical support to PWB fabrication vendors on design integrity.
  • Lead and optimize CAD processes and tool suite.
