Job summary

Beemac Logistics is seeking a Director Of Heavy Haul and Specialized Freight to lead and expand our heavy haul, over dimensional, overweight, project, and high value freight business. This is a player coach role reporting to the CEO directly.

The VP sells and prices specialized freight directly, supports our sales reps on their own opportunities, and takes control of each shipment from booking through delivery. Based in Beaver, PA with travel to client sites and carrier meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in heavy haul or project freight.
• Experience coordinating over dimensional shipments with permits and escorts.
• Proven ability to price complex freight and negotiate rates.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of heavy haul and specialized freight from booking to delivery.
• Support sales reps with calls, pricing, and opportunities; coach others.
• Build carrier network and manage risk controls for high value loads.
• Develop SOPs, KPIs, and training to improve service and scalability.
• Grow the specialized logistics business in collaboration with exec leadership.
• Travel to client sites and carrier meetings as needed.
• Oversee pricing, routing, and carrier selection for high value shipments.
• Act as primary specialized logistics resource for sales reps and customers.
