Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Lead Heavy Equipment Operator to support operation, maintenance, and construction of natural gas pipelines within an assigned area. You will lead field operations, coordinate with crews, and ensure safety practices and compliance.

This union-represented role requires strong communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills, with overtime and travel as needed to support assets and projects across facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL with tank, trailer & hazmat endorsements or ability to obtain.
• Proven ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Respirator fit testing ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and trucks for asset maintenance.
• Perform excavation, mowing, road maintenance, and asset access tasks.
• Document work in the Work Management system and maintain logs.
• Support safety meetings, planning, and project execution.
• Coordinate inspections, permits, and hazardous-material handling.
