Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Operator Foreman to oversee heavy equipment operations on our project sites in Texas. You will operate and supervise equipment, enforce safety policies, and coordinate with the crew to meet timelines.

The role requires at least two years of related experience, equipment certifications, and a valid driver's license. You will coach operators, review work plans, and ensure quality and compliance with Mortenson standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of related experience.
• Equipment certifications required and valid driver's license with endorsements.
• Strong teamwork, customer service, and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, bobcat/skid-steer, boom lifts/aerial lifts, and roller.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain clean job site.
• Perform routine maintenance and detect malfunctions.
• Adhere to work plans and adjust sequences to meet schedules.
• Assist in scheduling and estimating worker-hours; resolve problems.
• Ensure crew timecards are filled and supervise operators.
• Lead by example, coach, and manage performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
