Job summary

City of Georgetown is seeking a Curbside Collections Operator to perform curbside waste collection from residential areas and city streets. The role involves operating heavy equipment for collection and transporting waste to the landfill, reporting to the Waste Management Supervisor.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid South Carolina driver’s license, and a South Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and one (1) year of job-related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid SC Driver's License.
• South Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Responsibilities

• Lead operator for the curbside collections division.
• Manages and maintains collections, transports and disposes debris materials from city right of ways.
• Keeps streets and right of ways free of debris materials; assists with other department duties as required.
• Works under limited supervision to ensure efficient waste collections while providing a safe work environment.
