Job summary

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic Foreman for our site in New Mexico. You will lead the maintenance team, oversee repairs, and ensure equipment safety and reliability in a fast-paced construction environment.

The role requires hands-on mechanical expertise with diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, plus strong leadership and communication to coordinate with project management.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction equipment.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to direct a crew.
• Ability to prioritize repairs in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Owns service truck (not required) and has applicable tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and daily operations of the heavy equipment maintenance team.
• Keep construction equipment safe, reliable, and operating efficiently; provide hands-on mechanical support and leadership.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Report progress and crew needs to project management.
