Barnard Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic Foreman for our Hachita, New Mexico site. You will lead a maintenance team, keep heavy equipment safe and reliable, and provide hands-on mechanical support in a fast-paced construction setting.

The role requires strong diagnostic and leadership skills and experience with diesel, hydraulics, and electrical systems. You will operate in a challenging environment with significant physical demands and long hours,

Qualificações

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction equipment.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to prioritize repairs in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
• Must own service truck (not required) and tools applicable to the position
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Ability to inspect heavy equipment and identify defects and performance issues in field and shop.
• Maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on construction equipment.
• Perform visual inspections, diagnostics and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Fabricate parts when needed.
• Maintain safety culture and comply with Barnard policies.
• Valid driver license and satisfactory driving record.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate progress to project management.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilidades

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background screen.
• Ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl.
• Ability to correctly rig and hoist material.
• Ability to tolerate heights without fear.
• Ability to maintain balance.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods, handle items and work in extreme weather (cold/wet).
• Work long irregular hours, 50 to 70 hours per week.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance as per standards.
• Perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA and other standards.
