Job summary

Baltimore County's Department of Public Works and Transportation, Bureau of Highways & Equipment Maintenance, seeks a team leader to oversee the heavy equipment service center. You will plan, coordinate, and perform skilled diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment while supervising mechanics and staff.

Qualifications include five years of experience, possession of a commercial class B Maryland license and a Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in heavy equipment and truck repair and maintenance.
• Related training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to two years.
• Applicants must possess a valid driver's license equivalent to a commercial, class B Maryland license.
• A current Medical Examiner's Certificate is required at application.
• All licenses, certificates and education must be submitted with each application.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of a heavy equipment service center.
• Plans, coordinates, and leads repair and preventive maintenance work.
• Maintains inventory of parts and tools and keeps service records.
• Receives, prioritizes, and schedules maintenance requests.
• Prepares reports on center activity and performance.
