The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northway Shop seeks a Heavy Duty Mechanic, Automotive, Advanced Journey/Lead to professionally maintain heavy and light duty equipment used in road and airport projects.

You will diagnose and repair transmissions, engines, braking and hydraulic systems, and participate in tool allowance and CDL training to meet pre-employment requirements. Travel to remote sites and overnight stays may be required in Alaska.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining heavy and light duty equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair transmissions, engines, brakes, hydraulics.
• Must obtain CDL within 120 days or have it already.

Responsabilités

• Maintain equipment for roads, airports, and other vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair complex equipment problems.
• Perform routine and specialized maintenance on heavy equipment.
