Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group in Virginia is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead heavy highway, road, and bridge projects from planning through closeout. You will own schedule, budget, and risk management while coordinating with owners, agencies, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10+ years of heavy civil PM experience, a DOT/VDOT background, and strong cost control and scheduling skills.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of PM experience on heavy highway, road, or bridge projects.
• Strong cost controls, scheduling, contract and change‑order experience.
• Experience coordinating with owners, agencies, subcontractors, vendors.
• DOT/VDOT roadway, bridge, grading, drainage or utility background.
• Valid driver’s license; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy highway, road, bridge projects from plan through closeout.
• Own schedule, budget, cost control, forecasting, change orders, documentation, closeout.
• Protect margins with accurate cost and income projections.
• Serve as main project contact for owners, agencies, subcontractors, vendors.
• Lead field supervision and project engineering teams; set roles and responsibilities.
• Identify risks early and drive solutions before they escalate.
• Own quality control and ensure designs meet standards and contract requirements.
• Run weekly project meetings and report performance to leadership.
• Submit timely payment requisitions and elevate when needed.
