Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a heat treater to operate and oversee heat treating operations on a variety of castings, following established methods and procedures.

Under limited supervision, you will train trainees and guide helpers, maintain records, and perform quality checks including hardness and other control tests. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to read route cards and process instructions.

Qualifications

• Heat treat, anneal, harden, temper castings per procedures.
• Set and adjust furnace variables; load and cool parts.
• Maintain operation records and conduct hardness tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate heat treating processes per route cards and specifications.
• Perform periodic furnace temperature checks and document results.
• Report abnormal conditions and maintain a clean, safe work area.
