GFL Environmental is hiring a Lead Technician, Asbestos Abatement, to lead demolition, decontamination, and environmental remediation projects across sites in the United States. You will guide a crew to identify, contain, and remove asbestos and lead while maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include leading field operations, hazardous materials removal, site decontamination, and ensuring PPE usage.

Formación

• Experience in construction, renovation, or environmental remediation.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle.
• Ability to travel regionally 3–5 days per week (Mon–Fri).
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in demanding conditions (heat, cold, heights, loud noise).
• Strong integrity, work ethic, and teamwork.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Field Operations: guide crew on demolition, renovation and decontamination tasks on site.
• Hazardous Materials Removal: safely remove lead and asbestos using specialized tools.
• Decontamination & Site Cleaning: thoroughly clean work areas and maintain tools post-job.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: enforce OSHA/EPA/GFL safety policies and PPE use.
• Travel & Transport: commute to job sites, regional travel 3–5 days weekly.
• Teamwork & Leadership: mentor teammates and uphold quality and safety standards.
