Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee day-to-day lab operations and guide staff in complex analyses of waste materials. The role ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory agencies, and involves training new technicians in laboratory techniques.

The position emphasizes waste determination, data interpretation, and coordination of waste shipments, with opportunities to improve processes and support customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or related discipline.
• 3–5 years in hazardous waste industry preferred.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine waste acceptability and disposition per regulatory and company requirements.
• Identify and authorize disposal of hazardous waste per regulations and company rules.
• Interpret analytical data and advise scheduling of waste in/out and coordinate shipments.
• Maintain laboratory documents per policies and regulatory agencies.
• Operate laboratory tasks including waste samples, analysis, storage and disposal per QA/QC standards.
• Collaborate with in-house staff and customers to streamline approvals and resolve analytical issues.
• Provide training to chemists and technicians for efficiency and quality.
