Job summary

Vector Atomic in Pleasanton, CA, is seeking an experienced test engineer to lead hardware verification for quantum instrument hardware. You will collaborate with physicists and engineers across disciplines to define tests, procedures, and data strategies in a fast-paced lab environment.

This onsite role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and hands-on debugging of complex boards and electronics. Applicants should have a BSEE/MSEE with leadership experience, strong lab skills, and a track record of

Qualifications

BSEE/MSEE degree required with leadership experience testing precision instruments/sensors.
Must be comfortable in a laboratory environment and able to lead test activities.
Ability to create new test plans and procedures for novel instrumentation.
Organize and manage test results and data storage.

Responsibilities

Lead a growing team testing and debugging complex electronic circuits (FPGA, MCU, mixed-signal, photonics).
Develop test procedures with physicists and engineers for next-gen quantum instruments.
Define DFT/DFM improvements with engineering and manufacturing.
Create and oversee environmental, EMI/EMC test plans at external facilities as needed.
Lead by example and mentor early-career engineers.
