Job summary

KLA in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead a hardware systems engineering team focused on electron beam based metrology instruments. You will drive complex instrument designs, set requirements, and guide development of next-generation metrology tools across global projects.

You will partner with cross-functional groups, manage engineers from concept to release, and travel worldwide to support customers and training.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field; MS preferred.
10+ years developing complex hardware/capital equipment in semiconductor tools or related fields.
Experience leading engineers through concept-to-release development.
Strong understanding of precision instruments and control systems.
Willingness to travel for training and customer support worldwide.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed requirements from performance specs using systems engineering.
Lead hardware systems engineers in designing and testing complex instrument designs.
Drive design improvements and development of next-generation metrology tools.
Coordinate with service, manufacturing and marketing to optimize performance.
Provide remote or on-site leadership for customer-facing issues.
