Job summary

KLA in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking an Electron Beam Product Engineer to join the systems engineering team. You will own the engineering tools for electron beam systems and coordinate tool maintenance across multi-functional teams onsite.

The role requires 5 days onsite, experience in vacuum systems and cleanroom operations, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Domestic/international travel may be required for training.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience operating and servicing vacuum systems.
• 5+ years' experience in a clean room.
• Experience with Python, Matlab, and JMP for analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tool availability and maintenance across teams.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electron beam metrology tools to maximize uptime.
• Perform calibrations, validations, and preventative maintenance.
• Lead root-cause investigations for tool failures.
• Prepare concise test-result summaries and update service procedures.
