Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Supervisor, Hardware Reliability for Starlink to lead a team of technicians focused on root-cause analysis of electrical systems and PCBAs. You will own the lab operations and drive improvements that enhance reliability and manufacturing quality.

You will mentor technicians, work with manufacturing and design teams, and implement new processes to reduce failures and improve yield, while managing priorities across shifts and communicating findings

Qualifications

• Must have experience performing root-cause analysis on electrical systems and PCBAs.
• Experience diagnosing solder joint quality, component failures, and manufacturing/assembly defects.
• Experience training, mentoring, and developing technicians or junior engineers.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams with data-driven analysis and clear communication.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of reliability technicians and specialists in root-cause analysis of electrical systems and PCBAs.
• Drive root-cause findings into actionable improvements with manufacturing and design teams to reduce failure rates and improve yield.
• Own day-to-day operations of the production root-cause lab, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, lab organization (5S), and resource planning.
• Develop and implement new processes and tools to improve root-cause efficiency and accuracy of electrical failures.
• Establish priorities across shifts and ensure timely communication of findings to production stakeholders.
• Define and track team performance metrics and hold the team to measurable outcomes.
• Identify development opportunities for team members aligned with individual growth and Starlink goals.
