Job summary

TECHEAD is seeking a Lead Hardware Design Engineer to own end-to-end PCB and system architecture for industrial IoT and telecom equipment, from concept through mass production. You will lead cross-functional teams, define hardware topologies, perform SI/PI analyses, manage BOM and cost targets, and drive hardware verification, validation, and regulatory certifications.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years hands-on board-level electronics design experience.
• Track record launching embedded hardware to production.
• Deep knowledge of high-speed digital design and mixed-signal architectures.
• Experience with SoC/microprocessor-based designs and DDR interfaces.
• Experience with power conversion and POL converters.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Strong diagnostic skills with test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end hardware architecture for industrial IoT, embedded computing, and telecommunications equipment.
• Translate product specifications into robust circuit topologies, system block diagrams, and hardware functional specs.
• Engineer complex mixed-signal, analog, digital, and power regulation sub-assemblies.
• Evaluate and select primary silicon platforms, including processors, SoCs, FPGAs, PMICs, memory, and high-speed transceivers.
• Execute schematic capture via industry-standard EDA platforms balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, and thermal constraints.
• Architect designs supporting RTOS environments and Embedded Linux chipsets.
• Layout high-speed networks and memory topologies (DDR, PCIe, USB, SERDES, I2C, UART).
• Design power supplies, PDN, and energy-efficient rails; perform thermal/PI analyses.
• Lead hardware delivery from prototype bring-up to mass production; drive DVT and pilot runs.
• Mentor engineers and drive internal hardware standards and roadmaps.
• Ensure compliance with FCC, CE, UL, EMC/EMI and environmental regs; coordinate with labs.
