Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a Guest Services team member in Michigan to handle merchandise and fuel transactions and lead a small cashier team. You will process cash, credit and debit payments, promote products, and ensure high-quality guest service across the travel center.

This role involves shift leadership, compliance with sales guidelines, and collaboration with management. Weekly pay, benefits, and a flexible schedule are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Must lead a shift of 1–2 cashiers and process all types of transactions.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures.
• Adhere to company and local guidelines on sale of restricted merchandise (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products.
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest.
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes; communicate with management.
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift.
• Assist with other travel center functions (e.g., deli, showers/restrooms, stocking, coffee).
• Model behaviors that support the company’s purpose; support guests and team members at highest level.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures.
• Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco).
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products.
• Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest.
• Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management.
• Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift.
• Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
• Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
• Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
