Job summary

The Standard Spa, Miami Beach is seeking a Lead Guest Relations Agent to guide the Guest Relations team on shift, ensuring safety, security, and smooth operations across the property. You will respond to emergencies, manage postings, and lead operational decisions while maintaining the calm, welcoming atmosphere that defines The Standard experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, guest relations, hospitality, or a hotel environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of hotel safety and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead a team and make decisions during shifts.
• Calm, focused, and solution-oriented during emergencies and high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Guest Relations team during assigned shifts and serve as the primary point of contact for operational decisions.
• Monitor performance and ensure tasks are completed.
• Ensure patrols and posts are staffed.
• Monitor hotel safety and security.
• Record assignments and tasks in MSSHIFT.
• Follow company and departmental policies.
• Secure offices and hotel areas as appropriate.
• Verify opening/closing of F&B outlets.
• Complete email tasks, including checklists and Lost & Found.
• Conduct shift line-ups and prepare next lineup.
• Communicate updates to Guest Relations Manager.
• Assume command of the hotel during emergencies.
• Respond to operational, safety, and security situations.
• Assume Guest Relations Agent duties when needed.
• Work with others to maintain coverage and support operations.
• Assist the Manager with meetings and communications.
• Maintain communication and accountability across shifts.
• Support other departments when appropriate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
