Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic (Lead) at JBLM, WA. You will oversee inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on GSE/MHE, ensuring serviceability and documentation in Army systems.

You will guide a team through repair tasks, coordinate with supply staff, and maintain audit-ready records in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership and knowledge of TMs are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; experience may substitute.
• 3–5 years hands-on GSE/MHE maintenance, Army or contractor environment preferred.
• Familiarity with Army maintenance standards, TMs, and property accountability requirements.
• PMCS for GSE/MHE and use of Army logistic systems like GCSS-Army.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose GSE during turn-in; perform maintenance per Army standards.
• Repair and service generators, heaters, lighting, power distribution, hydraulic test stands, jacks.
• Record results in DA Form 2404/5988-E and Army systems; maintain ISO 9001 documentation.
• Coordinate with Supply Technicians for turn-in and documentation; advise on GSE condition.
• Assist in preparing GSE for shipment, storage, or redistribution.
