Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain Army GSE and MHE at a contractor-run equipment turn-in site. You will follow Army manuals and ensure equipment safety, readiness, and proper documentation for storage or transfer.

You will perform PMCS, troubleshoot using Army tools, and maintain accurate records in GCSS‑Army. Field travel up to 25% may be required, with safety and environmental compliance at the forefront.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certification a plus.
• 3–5 years in GSE or MHE maintenance, Army or contractor environment preferred.
• Familiarity with Army maintenance standards, TMs, and property accountability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose GSE/MHE during turn‑in processing.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per Army standards.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Document maintenance results and classify conditions in Army systems.
