Qualifications

• Two years’ recent experience in planting, cultivating, maintaining flowers and shrubs or in general grounds maintenance work.
• Possession of a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
• Thorough knowledge of grounds maintenance methods, materials, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the work of several grounds staff; oversee planting, fertilizing, watering, and spraying as assigned.
• Coordinate mowing, irrigation, pruning, planting, and seasonal landscaping projects.
• Develop schedules; inspect completed work and provide feedback.
• Train Groundsworkers and student assistants; ensure safety practices and proper PPE use.
• Monitor safety, maintenance needs, and aesthetic standards; elevate issues as needed.
• Perform and oversee irrigation system installation and repair; monitor chemical applications when licensed.
