Job summary

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Landscaping Manager to lead exterior maintenance, irrigation operations, and vendor relationships. You will balance hands-on field work with strategic planning to uphold Hyatt’s standards of excellence.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial landscaping with a strong irrigation background, plus experience supervising contractors, diagnosing systems, and implementing cost-efficient improvements while ensuring

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial landscaping or grounds maintenance.
• Diagnostics, repair, programming, and preventive maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Supervising landscape contractors and vendors.
• Irrigation components, controllers, valves, pumps, drainage, and water management.
• Ability to perform physical outdoor labor in various weather.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage landscape maintenance to keep grounds safe, healthy, and visually exceptional.
• Oversee irrigation system troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Develop preventative maintenance plans for irrigation and landscape infrastructure.
• Lead by example in on-site landscaping and irrigation work when needed.
• Coordinate with landscape contractors and vendors to meet service standards.
• Review vendor scopes, proposals, invoices, and contract performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
