Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Ground Control Segment Senior Staff Systems Engineer to lead the architectural definition and integration of the mux TAC AIR ground control segment. The role emphasizes technical leadership across engineering disciplines, with responsibility for architecture, racks, and verification.

The position requires a Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SAP, with on-site work at multiple U.S. facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience, or Master’s with 12+ years, or PhD with 10+ years in STEM.
U.S. Citizenship required and current/active Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
Experience with ground system/segment architectures for aircraft/UAS.
Experience leading a small cross-disciplinary engineering team (4–6 people).
Experience creating, maintaining, and releasing engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, integration, and verification of the Mux TACAIR ground control segment and its architecture.
Own rack-level design for computing and networking gear, ensuring manufacturability and supportability.
Lead software/hardware integration, HMI development, lab integration, and end-to-end system verification.
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management; interface with customers.
