Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer for the Ground Control Segment at on-site locations including Melbourne, FL. You will own the ground architecture, rack-level design, interfaces and verification approaches, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and the customer.

The role requires a BS with extensive experience (or advanced degrees) in STEM fields, active Secret clearance, SAP access, and proven leadership in ground-system development, integration and flight-test

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years experience (or Master’s 12+; PhD 10+).
U.S. citizenship required with current/active Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain SAP (Special Program Access).
Experience with ground system architectures for aircraft/UAS.
Experience leading a small multi-discipline team (4–6).
Experience releasing engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
Experience with configuration management and engineering changes.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, integration and verification of the Mux TACAIR ground control segment.
Own rack level design for computing and networking equipment, including power and cooling.
Lead software/hardware integration and HMI development; oversee flight test readiness.
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and program management.
Act as primary technical interface to the customer for ground segment topics; manage SOWs with suppliers.
