Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Ground Control Segment Senior Staff Systems Engineer to lead the architecture, rack design, interface definitions, and integration/verification for the Mux TACAIR ground segment. On-site roles are available at Melbourne, FL, Linthicum, MD, or San Diego, CA.

You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, manage supplier relationships, and oversee flight test readiness while applying Agile practices and managing documentation and configuration baselines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Science/Engineering; 14+ years experience (or 12/10 with Masters/PhD)
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
• Experience leading a small engineering team across multiple disciplines
• Experience creating, releasing engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs
• Knowledge of configuration management and engineering change processes

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration, and verification of the ground control segment
• Own rack level design for computing and networking equipment
• Lead software/hardware integration and end-to-end system verification
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers; manage cross-functional collaboration and agile backlog
