Job summary
PG&E's Applied Technology Services in San Ramon seeks an Expert Engineer, Grid Technology, to perform advanced energy modeling, equipment prototyping, and lab/field testing across behind- and front-of-the-meter solutions. You will collaborate with engineers and technicians across SCADA, DMS, EMS, and grid analytics to push innovative testing programs.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with 7 years of experience; preferred are a Master’s, PE license, and experience with CYME, PSCAD,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 7 years of related experience.
- Strong background in power system testing and modeling.
- Experience with utility SCADA, DMS, EMS platforms.
Responsibilities
- Leads project teams performing tests to identify, define, solve problems, and prepare technical reports and specifications.
- Partners with stakeholder organization to develop grid advancement and electrification strategies.
- Develops test protocols, models, technologies and analyzes data.
- Evaluates performance of parts, assemblies or systems under simulated operating conditions.
- Delivers presentations and recommendations to clients and Leadership.
