Job summary

PG&E's Applied Technology Services (ATS) Engineering team in San Ramon is seeking an on-site Engineer to provide testing and analysis, determine specifications, and identify improvements across multiple disciplines.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3 years of related experience. Programming with LabVIEW, Python, and MATLAB is desirable, along with strong analytical and teamwork skills. Location is within PG&E's service territory.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical) or related field.
At least 3 years of related engineering experience.
LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB programming experience.
Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Understanding of quality assurance concepts.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with peers to prepare technical reports and specifications and to identify, define, and solve problems.
Escalates testing and process improvements as needed.
Identifies innovations and cost-reduction potential of new and existing technologies.
Performs engineering analysis and leads scope, schedule, budget, and resources planning.
Assists senior peers on complex tests and projects, contributing to planning and testing.
Completes multiple projects concurrently; prepares tests and studies; evaluates performance and records results.
Develops test protocols, models, data analyses, and supports policy development.
Modifies prototypes and systems to correct functional deviations.
Expands knowledge in related specialty areas over time.
Interacts with clients to provide project status and gather information.
