Job summary

PG&E’s ATS Grid Technology Engineering & Evaluation team is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to perform energy modeling, equipment prototyping, and lab/field testing for residential and commercial systems. The role supports energy efficiency, decarbonization, and grid edge interoperability with Engineering/Science focus.

Onsite in San Ramon, base Bay Area salary ranges are provided. The candidate will work with EnergyPro, LabVIEW, and other tools to deliver high-value evaluations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, civil or electrical).
• 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Postgraduate degree in Thermal Performance Analysis or related fields is a plus.
• Professional Engineer license is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supports tests to identify problems and prepares technical reports.
• Develops test protocols, models and analyzes data.
• Evaluates performance of parts and systems under simulated conditions.
• Prepares reports and recommendations for client and leadership.
• Mentors junior peers and identifies process improvements.
