Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Grading Foreman to supervise the Paving/Grading and Construction Crew and handle on-site personnel management. You will make daily production decisions and work closely with laborers to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

The role requires leading by example, enforcing safety policies (OSHA/MSHA), coordinating with the crew, and handling equipment signals and material placement.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with teams as both a leader and a participant.
• Working knowledge of customer specifications to ensure quality and avoid re-work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Delegate tasks to employees within their crew.
• Independently make decisions regarding production on a daily basis.
• Assist crew with duties such as shoveling, raking, and operating equipment as needed.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to coordinate movement and material placement.
• Occasionally dig, spread, and level construction materials.
• Maintain on-site traffic control and safety of personnel.
