Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, seeks a front line supervisor to oversee day-to-day project completion with oversight of laborers and operators. Travel to job locations is required.

Qualified candidates have multiple years of excavation and grading experience and extensive seat-time operating heavy machinery on civil projects. Candidates should be able to read plans and specifications, perform accurate grades, slopes, and yield calculations, and maintain safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in excavation and grading with significant seat-time operating heavy machinery on civil construction projects.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Mathematical understanding for calculating grades, slopes, yields, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew in safety culture and ensure a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Superintendent to meet job-specific instructions.
• Supervise, train, and coach personnel in daily duties and tasks.
• Read, interpret, and follow plans and specifications.
• Supervise equipment operators and laborers to ensure work aligns with field plans.
• Perform equipment operator and laborer duties when needed.
• Notify Project Manager of changes requiring plan adjustments; obtain approval before changes.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and report safety issues; keep job site clean and organized.
• Maintain time and material records for daily job costing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Able to perform essential job functions with/without reasonable accommodation.
