Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years related experience and/or training.
• Experience with water/storm/sewer pipe installation and road grading.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Reviews documents and plans to ensure questions are answered before proceeding.
• Directs and trains crew to perform work as shown on plans and specs.
• Acts as OSHA defined "competent person" on the job site.
• Plans sequence of activities with Superintendent and Project Engineer.
• Assigns workers to tasks such as operating machinery and installing pipes.
• Inspects work of subcontractors for conformance with specifications.
• Maintains daily job diary and time sheets; monitors safety.
