Job summary

United Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking a Grade Crew Foreman to oversee field operations for Earthwork, Roadway and Grading projects. You will directly supervise grading crews, coordinate activities with superintendents, and ensure safe, efficient day-to-day execution.

This role requires at least a high school diploma and practical experience as a foreperson in heavy construction; CDL is preferred. You must be able to read plans, manage crews, and uphold OSHA/MSHA safety standards on diverse

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years as a foreperson in heavy construction preferred.
  • CDL preferred.
  • Heavy equipment familiarity (grader, loader, skidsteer, excavator, dozer).
  • Knowledge of materials and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises grading crew, reporting to Superintendent.
  • Organizes day-to-day operations for grading/pipe/construction crews.
  • Instructs and trains crew members on duties and equipment use.
  • Directs grading, milling, and trucking to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Collaborates with project managers, engineers, technicians, and surveyors on plans.
