Job summary

Civil Works Contracting seeks a Grade Foreman to supervise grading crews and coordinate earthmoving activities for road and site construction projects. You will oversee equipment operation, ensure quality, and enforce safety protocols while liaising with project managers to meet timelines.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in grading or site construction.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
Knowledge of workplace safety regulations (OSHA).

Responsibilities

Supervise grading crews and assign tasks based on project requirements.
Coordinate use of equipment including bulldozers, graders, scrapers, and compactors.
Inspect project sites and completed work for compliance with specifications and safety standards.
Monitor progress and productivity to meet deadlines.
Support project managers with scheduling, reporting, and resource management.
Maintain records of daily site activities and personnel attendance.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company policies.
Assist with training and onboarding new crew members.
Communicate regularly with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
