Job summary

United Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking a Grade Crew Foreman in Grand Junction, CO. You will lead field operations for Earthwork/Roadway/Grading projects and supervise the grading crew, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and surveyors.

Pay ranges from $26-$31 per hour, depending on experience. This role requires safety focus, hands-on leadership, and the ability to travel up to 75% as needed. CDL is preferred; heavy equipment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience as Foreperson in heavy construction preferred.
• CDL preferred.
• Heavy equipment experience (grader, loader, skidsteer, excavator, dozers, roller, scraper).
• Machine control knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of materials and testing.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises grading crew and reports to Superintendent.
• Schedule and organize day-to-day operations for grading/pipe/construction crews.
• Instruct, train and monitor employees in duties and equipment use.
• Directs grading, milling and trucking to keep a smooth, efficient workplace.
• Work with project managers, engineers, technicians and surveyors to implement plans.
• Estimate time and resource requirements for projects.
• Maintain records of equipment, supplies and labor hours.
• Coordinate ordering of equipment and materials.
• Ensure operators maintain and clean equipment and hand tools.
• Additional duties as assigned.
