Job summary

Salesforce Data Security seeks a Lead Software Engineer to architect, build, and scale the unified Registration Authority (RA) for a global multi-cloud platform. You will lead the tech design, mentor engineers, and drive AI-assisted software development practices in a highly concurrent Go codebase.

You’ll shape authentication/authorization, deploy across clouds (AWS/GCP), and ensure availability while raising the bar for system design and automation.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep production-grade expertise in Go, Java, or Rust, with advanced concurrency patterns.
• Experience deploying and operating highly available services across AWS and GCP.
• Strong background in RESTful and gRPC services, distributed state machines, and asynchronous processing pipelines.
• Proficient with AI coding assistants and shared-context workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain the unified Registration Authority (RA) for a global multi-cloud platform.
• Design and optimize highly concurrent, multi-substrate build paths in Go.
• Develop and scale synchronous and asynchronous certificate issuance paths.
• Implement hierarchical policy engines and authorization controls for workload identity and attestation.
• Lead engineering excellence with resilient, observable, and well-tested code.
• Instrument telemetry, tracing, and alerting to meet SLAs.
• Mentor engineers and review code to raise the bar for distributed systems.
• Partner with Security Architecture to translate compliance into automated controls.
