Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect, build, and scale a unified Registration Authority for a global multi-cloud platform. You will design highly concurrent Go codepaths, mentor engineers, and drive AI-augmented development.

You will own distributed cert issuance, policy engines, and automation across public clouds, with a focus on availability, security, and scalable system design.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep production-grade Go, Java, or Rust expertise with advanced concurrency and multi-substrate builds.
• Experience deploying and operating highly available services across AWS and GCP.
• Ability to design resilient RESTful and gRPC services with distributed state machines.
• Strong background in observability, telemetry, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient with AI coding assistants and AI-first engineering workflows.
• Experience using AI tools in development workflows.
• Advanced prompt engineering skills for precise, structured prompts.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain the unified Registration Authority (RA) for a global platform.
• Design and optimize highly concurrent Go build paths across multiple clouds.
• Develop and scale synchronous and asynchronous certificate issuance paths.
• Implement hierarchical policy engines for workload identity and attestation.
• Lead certificate lifecycle management with multiple CAs and automation.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and raise the bar for design of distributed systems.
• Instrument telemetry, tracing, and alerting to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with Security Architecture to meet compliance through automated controls.
• Drive AI-augmented software development and prompt engineering practices.
