Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect, build, and scale our unified Registration Authority for a global multi-cloud platform. You will lead technical design, mentor engineers, and ensure high availability, security, and production-grade code.

You’ll work in an AI-first environment, using Go, Java, or Rust, and collaborate with Security Architecture to translate complex compliance into automated controls, driving performance and reliability across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Proven track record designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Java, or Rust with advanced concurrency.
• Experience deploying services on AWS and GCP.
• REST/gRPC services with distributed state machines and async processing.
• Observability, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable certificate issuance front door for a global multi-cloud platform.
• Design highly concurrent, multi-substrate build paths in Go and ensure seamless deployment.
• Develop and scale synchronous and asynchronous issuance paths with state-machine orchestration.
• Implement hierarchical policy engines to validate workload identity and attestation.
• Automate certificate lifecycle management with multiple CAs.
• Write resilient, observable, and well-tested code; mentor engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Instrument telemetry, tracing, and alerts to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with Security Architecture to translate compliance into automated controls.
