Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect and scale a unified Registration Authority (RA) across a global multi-cloud platform. You will design high-concurrency Go code, mentor engineers, and drive AI-assisted development practices, balancing security, availability, and performance.

You will craft policy-driven access, integrate with CAs, and build automated workflows for certificate issuance and lifecycle management, ensuring reliable machine-to-machine trust at scale.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep production-grade expertise in Go, Java, or Rust with advanced concurrency.
• Experience deploying and operating services across AWS and GCP.
• Design RESTful and gRPC services with distributed state machines.
• Strong observability and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient with AI coding assistants and AI-driven workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain RA as a global front door for certificate issuance.
• Design highly concurrent, multi-substrate Go build paths across public clouds.
• Develop synchronous and asynchronous certificate issuance paths with state machines.
• Implement hierarchical policy engines for workload identity and attestation.
• Automate certificate lifecycle management with multiple CAs.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and improve distributed systems design.
• Instrument telemetry, tracing, and alerting to meet SLAs and availability.
• Collaborate with Security to translate compliance into scalable software controls.
• Lead AI-augmented development practices and prompt engineering standards.
• Build high-quality, production-grade software with AI as a core workflow.
