Job summary

GeoControl Systems, Inc. is seeking a GN&C Engineer to join our NASA-focused team, delivering safety-critical flight software and GN&C algorithms.

You will utilize MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, Python, and Autocode tools to develop, test, and validate 6-DOF algorithms and flight software in a collaborative environment with NASA civil servants and contractors. This role offers flexible work options and a strong team culture, supporting space exploration and complex control problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Significant knowledge of GN&C.
• Experience with development and analysis of 6 DOF algorithms and simulations.
• Proficiency with C/C++ and Python.
• Familiarity with validation and verification of GN&C algorithms and requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a NASA contractor environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate safety-critical flight software.
• Develop, integrate, and test GN&C algorithms.
• Utilize MATLAB/Simulink/Autocode to update GN&C Flight Software.
• Utilize Python & C/C++ to analyze and test GN&C Flight Software.
• Validate and Verify GN&C algorithms and requirements.
• Provide recommendations for improvements to flight software, processes, and procedures.
• Perform deep-dive analyses of flight and simulation software.
