Job summary

The Boeing Company in the United States (Seal Beach/El Segundo, CA or Denver, CO) is seeking experienced Guidance Navigation & Control Engineers to design and test GN&C systems for spaceflight. You will develop high-fidelity simulations, flight software, and collaborate across systems engineering, avionics, test, and business development to rapidly prototype and field capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
Active Tier 5 clearance (SSBI) is required.
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with spacecraft.
Experience using MATLAB and Simulink.
Experience developing GN&C algorithms, models and simulations.

Responsibilities

Designs, implements, and verifies guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for spacecraft.
Develops and maintains 6‑DOF dynamics simulations and analysis tools for mission and performance assessment.
Implements and validates GN&C flight software (MATLAB/Simulink models and C/C++ prototypes) and integrates with testbeds and avionics.
Applies astrodynamics and flight mechanics to mission design and trajectory optimization.
Develops powered and unpowered guidance laws and autonomy tools for on-orbit operations.
Leads engineering project teams and mentors engineers in GN&C practices.
