Job summary

The Boeing Company in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Guidance Nav & Control Engineer to lead system definition, design, verification and integration for navigation systems and inertial sensors aboard spacecraft and rockets. On-site work is required.

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years in GNC/flight dynamics, strong programming in Python/C++/Java, and the ability to obtain a US Top Secret/SCI clearance. Bachelor’s in engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Requires US Citizenship and ability to obtain US Security Clearance (Top Secret/SCI)
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 5+ years of spacecraft GNC, ACS, flight dynamics, validation, or systems engineering
• 1+ years deriving and allocating requirements with traceability across lifecycle
• Experience with guidance, navigation, or control for spacecraft or rocket systems
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python, C++, Java)
• Experience with control theory and design

Responsibilities

• Develop system architecture solutions.
• Plan and lead high NRE projects.
• Ensure spacecraft and system are flight worthy prior to delivery.
• Develop solutions to assure customer satisfaction.
• Perform trade studies to meet program requirements.
• Assist with analyses to optimize total system performance.
• Mentor junior engineers.
