Job summary

Corning is seeking a Lead Program Manager to steer multi-disciplinary teams across the Optical Communications business. You will manage schedules, budgets and performance for complex development programs in a global matrixed environment.

The role requires 10+ years in product development and manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity, plus strong leadership and communication skills across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering or similar field.
• 10+ years in development of manufactured products, engineering, and/or manufacturing with PM capability.
• 5+ years of experience at the Manager level.
• Strong leadership, planning and communication in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary, global teams delivering new technology solutions.
• Manage schedule, performance, and budget of major programs.
• Establish objectives and develop comprehensive project plans.
• Allocate resources and secure external engineering and manufacturing support.
• Communicate status to executive sponsors and stakeholders.
• Interact with customers to clarify requirements and expectations.
• Collaborate with Product Management to build business cases.
• Present status and results to senior leadership.
