Job summary

Huron-Clinton Metroparks seeks a GIS Analyst to lead geospatial operations, governance, and enterprise data quality using ESRI ArcGIS platforms. You will produce annual GIS reports, conduct analyses, and support decision making across the organization.

The role requires collaboration with Planning, IT, Natural Resources and Engineering, with responsibilities spanning data management, mobile GIS work, and cross‑program coordination to modernize the geospatial program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, IT or related technical field.
• 8+ years of related service will be credited toward minimum educational requirements.
• Knowledge of ESRI GIS software and applications (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Survey123).
• Basic knowledge of data structures and databases.
• Programming in Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead GIS operations and governance across the organization.
• Manage spatial and tabular datasets across local network, SQL Server, and cloud environments.
• Administer ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro platforms and licensing.
• Produce annual GIS reports, cartographic products, analytics, and SQL queries.
• Develop workflows for field data capture and integration with organizational datasets.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Natural Resources and other departments on GIS needs.
