Job summary

Huron-Clinton Metroparks seeks a GIS Analyst to serve as the geospatial SME, leading GIS operations, governance, data management, and workflow modernization. The role covers ArcGIS Online administration, cartographic production, and SQL query development to support organizational reporting and decision-making.

The position oversees GIS programs across SE Michigan, collaborating with Planning, IT, Natural Resources, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, information technology or a related technical field.
4+ years of work experience in GIS, preferably with ESRI ArcGIS, and geospatial data analytics.
Experience with ESRI GIS software and applications (ArcGIS Pro/Online).
Proficient in Python and SQL for data manipulation and automation.

Responsibilities

Lead GIS program governance and provide strategic leadership across the organization.
Manage spatial and tabular datasets across local networks, SQL Server and cloud environments.
Administer ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro platforms, manage licensing and user access.
Produce annual GIS reports, cartographic products, analytics, and SQL queries for reporting.
